Where 1 Oak Projects is one of the contractors being considered for a scheme Lovatt has been engaged to advise on, the disclosure runs in writing on page one of the engagement letter and an independent QS leads procurement. Lovatt steps out of the contractor evaluation step at that point. The protection is procedural, not optional.
